About me
I am a BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist offering counselling in person near Bath and Trowbridge, and online across the UK.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the direction your life is taking. You may be struggling with a particular issue, facing a significant life change, or carrying the effects of difficult experiences from the past. Sometimes people seek counselling without knowing exactly what is wrong; they simply have a sense that something needs attention.
My approach is primarily person-centred and relational. I believe that meaningful change often develops through a genuine therapeutic relationship in which you feel understood, respected and accepted. I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful and supportive space where you can speak openly about whatever is important to you.
Alongside talking therapy, I am trained in somatic approaches which recognise the connection between mind and body. Sometimes difficulties are experienced not only in our thoughts and emotions but also in physical sensations, tension or patterns of response that can be difficult to explain in words. Where appropriate, I may gently invite awareness of these experiences, although sessions remain conversational and there is no physical contact or prescribed exercises.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions and a general sense of feeling stuck. I listen carefully, observe closely and may occasionally reflect what I notice or offer a different perspective for your consideration.
Starting counselling can feel like a significant step. I offer a free initial 30-minute online consultation, giving us an opportunity to talk, discuss what brings you to therapy, and consider whether working together feels right.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Registration No. 406696). My work is grounded in person-centred counselling and informed by additional training in somatic approaches and trauma. Alongside my work with adults, I have experience working with adolescents and autistic clients. I undertake ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I work Mondays to Fridays and offer both daytime and early evening appointments. Sessions last 60 minutes and are usually held at the same time each week, providing consistency and continuity for the therapeutic work.
I offer a free initial 30-minute online consultation before committing to ongoing counselling. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy, for you to ask any questions, and for both of us to consider whether working together feels right.
My fee is £55 per session. Payment is made in advance by bank transfer or cash. I offer counselling both online across the UK and face-to-face in Trowbridge.
There is no fixed commitment to a particular number of sessions. Some people come for a relatively short period, while others choose to work together for longer. We can review the work as we go and discuss what feels most helpful for you.

Further information
My approach is relational, person-centred and informed by somatic therapy.
I work with adults of all ages and have experience supporting people with anxiety, low mood, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties and a general sense of feeling stuck. I also have experience working with autistic clients.
I offer counselling online across the UK and face-to-face counselling near Bath and Trowbridge. My consulting room in Trowbridge provides a private, quiet and confidential setting for therapeutic work.
I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful and encouraging space where you can speak openly and be met with respect, curiosity and genuine engagement. While counselling can sometimes involve exploring difficult experiences, it can also bring relief, greater self-understanding, new perspectives and a deeper connection with yourself.
As an older therapist with broad experience of life, I bring a perspective shaped by many years of work, relationships, change, loss and personal growth. My clients often value the steadiness and perspective this can bring to our work together.
