About me
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and life transitions.
I primarily offer in-person, open-ended therapy by appointment in South Kensington and Chelsea. I also provide short-term online therapy of up to 12 weeks where this is the most appropriate option. Sessions are typically 50 minutes, and together we will agree a pace and way of working that feels right for you.
Sessions with me tend to feel more like a genuine conversation than something formal or clinical. I will follow your lead on what feels important, while also gently challenging you where it feels helpful. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, including about the things that may be difficult to say out loud.
I offer a free 15–20 minute initial consultation on Zoom. This is an opportunity for you to tell me a little about what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to gain from it, while also giving us both a chance to see whether we feel like a good fit before you commit to anything. There is no pressure or obligation.
If we decide to work together, the first session, and sometimes part of the second, will be used for a more in-depth assessment. This allows me to build a fuller understanding of your current situation, your background and what has brought you to therapy, so that together we can consider the most helpful way forward. It also gives you time to experience how I work and decide whether the therapeutic relationship feels right for you before we settle into ongoing therapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), hold an MSc in Psychology, and am currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. My doctoral research focuses on attachment and self-esteem, and my practice is informed by both current psychological research and clinical experience.
My training has included person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT), enabling me to work integratively according to each person's individual needs. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that can help people process trauma and other distressing or overwhelming experiences.
Alongside my training, I have gained experience across NHS, third-sector and private settings, supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship issues and life transitions.
I also have a background in business and executive coaching, giving me a particular understanding of the challenges that can accompany career change, leadership, professional identity and significant life transitions, alongside the personal and emotional difficulties that often accompany them.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
People come to therapy for many different reasons, and I work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages. Whatever has brought you to therapy, my aim is to offer a thoughtful, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood and supported.
I understand that finding the right therapist can feel like an important decision. The initial consultation offers an opportunity for us to meet, discuss any questions you may have, and consider together whether I am the right person to support you.
