About me
I hope after reading this you decide I am the counsellor that best fits your needs. Whatever issues you are struggling with, in our sessions you will have a confidential setting in which to talk freely about your thoughts, feelings or behaviours with the reassurance you will be listened to with compassion, respect and without judgement. My approach is client centred, working together in striving to make sense of what's going on inside and trying to find ways to achieve change and for you to find peace of mind with whatever is troubling you.
Whether it be...
A racing mind that never switches off! Feeling on edge, overwhelmed or poor concentration! Losing sleep through constant worry!
Counselling can help you make sense of what is going on in your mind and body so that in the future when you face such challenges you will have learnt practical ways to help manage these thoughts and feelings calmly and with confidence.
Suffering a Loss or Bereavement? Do you feel numb, isolated, overwhelmed, angry, guilty, empty, or even feeling physical symptoms? These and many more feelings are completely normal when going through loss or bereavement. Counselling will help you better understand these feelings of grief when experiencing mourning. So hopefully in the future you can learn to grow around your grief whilst experiencing all the memories still within you.
Or are you in an unhealthy relationship? Do you feel as if you have no voice... unable to say what you think or feel! Do you feel as if you are walking on eggshells all of the time? Do you feel unable to make decisions without permission?
Whatever struggles you have come through or are going through. Counselling can't change what has happened in the past but it can help you now in the present to make sense of your thoughts and feelings. So you can be more aware in the future of what's happening around you and inside you, helping you learn coping skills and the understanding that change and peace of mind is possible.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
