About me
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck? I am here to listen and to help you make sense of your world, to help you to bring about change, to resolve your difficulties or find ways to cope with life.
How I work
I provide short and long-term counselling for adults outdoors, as I am a trained ‘walk and talk’ counsellor, on the telephone, in your own home, or via online platforms. Sessions can be at weekends or in the evenings and can be flexible to suit your needs. I offer a free half hour session to find out how I can help you and to find out if you think I am the right 'fit' for you. This can be by phone or zoom or in person. After this, if you want to go ahead, we will talk on a weekly basis, usually on the same day at the same time, but I am flexible and work around your needs.
I am an integrative counsellor, trained in multiple approaches, so I can vary how we work together to achieve the best outcome for you. Sessions usually last for 50 minutes and are focussed on anything you want to talk about with no judgements, just care and support.
Listening to you
Counselling is a specialised way of listening and responding, building relationships of trust to support your emotional wellbeing. You can explore aspects of your life in complete confidence, talking about feelings freely and openly in a way that can be difficult with friends or family. I believe that great things can be achieved by being heard. I look forward to hearing from you and working together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have supported adults and young people for over 20 years to make positive changes to their lives. I have also counselled parents of children with complex or additional needs. To support my work, I have undertaken training across a wide range of subjects including: walk and talk counselling, safeguarding, attachment and trauma, self harm, couples counselling, understanding anxiety and depression, autism awareness and SEND. My clients range from 18 to 80 years of age currently and I welcome any enquiries.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
