About me
Chrysalism (pronounced 'kris-uh-liz-uhm') is "the tranquillity of being inside during a thunderstorm", and it represents the sense of safety that I strive to provide during our sessions as you navigate life’s storms.
Hello, my name is Alice, and I warmly welcome you to Chrysalism Counselling.
My approach is rooted in my personal values: curiosity, non-judgement, compassion and inclusivity. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing space where you can freely explore your feelings and experiences without fear of judgement.
I believe that every person is unique, and therefore, so are their needs. So whether you seek to understand your emotions, navigate life transitions, or build deeper connections with yourself and others, we can work together to make sense of what you’re going through, in a way that works for you.
In today’s fast-paced and increasingly disconnected world, I recognise that genuine human connection is more vital than ever. The danger of straying from our true selves feels all the more prevalent in our busy and pressurised lives - it is my hope that I can provide a space that allows you to find your way again.
I invite you to bravely embark on your expedition of self-discovery with me, where you, your needs and your well-being are at the centre of my practice. Together, we can create a space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to move forward.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Curious if Chrysalism Counselling is the right fit for you? I offer a complimentary 15-minute discussion, either over the phone or via video call. This is a relaxed conversation to meet one another and discuss how we would work together. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions, and see if my counselling approach aligns with your needs. There is no pressure to commit to further sessions afterwards.
