About us
The Affordable Counselling Network offers low-cost, weekly online therapy across the UK. We provide open-ended counselling and there is no limit to the number of sessions you can have.
Unlike some services, we do not limit the number of sessions we offer, and we do not charge a subscription fee. Our counselling sessions are £30 per session (concessonary fees available from £18) and you can end therapy at any time with one week’s notice if you change your mind.

As part of our commitment to keeping counselling accessible and affordable, we also offer concessionary rates for clients experiencing financial difficulty, as cost shouldn't be a barrier to receiving mental health support (please see below for more details).
Our counsellors work with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma, stress, low self-esteem and confidence, infertility, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wanting support to understand yourself better, we aim to offer a safe and compassionate space to be heard.
All therapists within Affordable Counselling Network are members of recognised professional and ethical bodies and come from a diverse range of backgrounds. We warmly welcome clients from minority and marginalised communities and are LGBTQIA+ affirming.
We offer affordable online counselling appointments from 8am–8pm on weekdays and 8am–4pm on Saturdays. All sessions are held online via Zoom or Google Meet, allowing you to access therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable.
To begin, we invite you to book an initial 30-minute introductory call. This is a gentle space to share what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to change or explore. During this call, you can let us know any preferences you have regarding your counsellor’s age, gender, culture, sexuality, or neurodiversity. We ask for a £15 donation towards the cost of this introductory session.
Training, qualifications & experience
Counselllors are members of either BACP, NCPS, UKCP. Our therapists are either fully qualified, completing their post qualified doctoral training, working towards accreditation or nearing the end of their training and building clinical hours.

The Affordable Counselling Network offers a limited number of concessionary places for clients experiencing financial difficulty, distress or loss of income. To ensure fair and consistent access to this support, concessionary places are managed via a waiting list.
· Concessions are available at a reduced rate of £18 per session (£15 + vat) and £24 per session (£20 + vat).
· Concession support is usually offered for a period of up to 24 weeks.
· At the end of the concessionary period, sessions will normally return to the standard fee of £30 per session (£25 + vat) unless agreed otherwise in advance.
All concession requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, taking individual circumstances and current service capacity into account. Consistent weekly attendance is required to maintain a concessionary place.
