About me
When it comes to reaching out for help and support, taking that first step can be the most difficult. I’m ready to listen to you and provide you with a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment for us to talk. As a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I can help you to work through problems and help you make changes to your life at your own pace. Therapy can be incredibly powerful in allowing you to recognise your own inner strength and abilities and allow you to move towards an improved wellbeing and quality of life. Sometimes, we get lost along the way and lose a sense of who we are and what we want in life. I'd like to help you work through the darkness and help you see the light again.
I am an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist which essentially means I use various approaches to tailor the support to you and your needs – the main approaches used are: Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic. A combination of approaches allows us to look at both past and present issues and how these issues may be impacting current feelings and behaviours.
I am a fully accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and I adhere to their values and ethical policy. I am fully insured as required by UK law. I attend monthly supervision as part of my ethical practice.
Session information & pricing
I currently offer sessions online via Microsoft Teams. My pricing is £55 per 1 hour session.
I can offer a free 15-minute phone call to discuss further, answer any questions or queries you may have and generally allow you to decide whether I am the right fit for you. If you're satisfied following this, we can get our first session booked in. I look forward to hearing from you.
Client reviews
" I was dreading entering therapy due to the amount I needed to get through. Abby made it feel a lot easier to revisit some difficult events and help me towards a place of understanding and acceptance around these events. I’m now flourishing at work and in my relationships. Highly recommend Abby if you’re looking for a thorough and caring therapist”

"After working with Abby for a few months, she helped me make small changes to gradually improve my mental health. She guided me through what I was struggling with and gave me the tools to help me cope better during having sessions.
I was a reluctant to going back to therapy but Abby made it a positive experience and helped me get out of a tricky time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone thinking about starting or going back to therapy."
