About me
Vicky has a Masters Degree in CBT Therapist and is accredited with the BABCP. She specialises in effective treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Low Self-esteem and Eating Disorders.
Vicky works with children, young people and adults. CBT is action and goal-orientated towards change and people really do get better. Vicky has been counselling for over 25 years and works creatively with problems with mood, worries and life's difficulties. Vicky is also an Eating Disorder Specialist and has years of experience of working with mild difficulties with food and body image to the more severe and entrenched eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulemia, EDNOS and Binge-Eating Disorder. Vicky has presented on expert Radio shows addressing Eating Disorder Awareness Week, schools and seminars.
It can be very effective to include parents/carers/partners in the therapy; either in the room or by helping you to learn to communicate with them, more effectively concerning your difficulties. Therapy effectiveness is maximised when all factors are skillfully worked with, including physiological effects, poor nutrition, emotion coping skills and unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
Vicky worked within the NHS for 10 years in various therapeutic settings including Eating Disorder Services, IAPT and CAMHS as a CBT Therapist and Supervisor. Vicky’s experience in working with children includes childrens homes and fostering organisation.
Vicky has worked with an Interpreter many times.
Vicky is a registered Therapist with most medical insurances including Nuffield, Bupa, Aviva, Nuffield and Axa PPP.

'Your encouragement and calm empathy have really helped me to 'help myself' and see all the positives in my life. You gave me some very important points of focus, which have helped me to make some changes and I feel so much more grounded and in control'.
From Client after 5 sessions 2016:
'I went so see Vicky for counselling after becoming very depressed and suffering with anxiety and panic attacks. It really is astounding how much of a life changer and life saver the counselling sessions with Vicky have been for me. She has helped me to see things in a different perspective and to move on from my demons. I now have more confidence and self-esteem and finally feel happy in my own skin. Vicky has a real gift and I would highly recommend her expert counselling skills to anyone'.
From Client 2016:
I've had CBT before but he tried to get me to think differently without explaining why and it didnt work. Vicky helped me to have my own lightbulb moments and was willing to challenge me; I got a lot from it.
From Male Client with Phobic Anxiety 2018:
Vicky has helped my Anxiety enormously over the last 10 sessions. I would thoroughly recommend her to family and friends.
