About me
Do you feel that you would like or need to have some Counselling however you may not have searched for someone due to; Stigmas, where do you look and trust, different types and what are the financial implications? To name but a few. I aim to help you overcome these reasons and to hopefully help you to understand your thoughts, feelings and emotions that you may be struggling with.
You may have concerns and worries around your present day or different times of your life including; childhood and school experiences, relationship issues, abuse, illness, loss, substance abuse, addictions, anxiety and depression. It is only when you the client is ready to talk and work through a process of techniques that I can offer you that, these feelings may start to move into a more positive and happier mind-set.
In Private Therapy: I work with Clients over the age of 18 - face to face or via telephone from and in a private and dedicated therapy room, which offers you the space to talk about your thoughts, feelings and emotions without being judged.
Family mediation: I can facilitate and work with family members to help raise communication to a more positive level, of which may help you reach an agreement between the parties involved.
Corporate Support: I work with clients on and referred from various EAP Helplines, Occupational Health Teams, Social Services and Schools.
Group therapy sessions can be arranged for and up to a maximum of six persons, please contact me for more information on Content, number of candidates and availability.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
