Supervision details
Free Clinical Supervision
The Seven-Eyed Model and The Integrative Development Model (IDM).
I have recently gained my 'fit to practice' certificate as a Clinical Supervisor in training, in the above models and I would like to offer you my knowledge and experience what I have gained over the years as a therapist and in this new way and level of working as a Supervisor. I will try and support you whilst working with clients in either short term interventions such as 6, 4 and single session models as well as clients in long term intervention. I am offering this free of charge until I gain my required placement hours and for adult clients only at this point.
A small background about me; I gained my first diploma in Person Centred Counselling in 2009 which is my core modality. I am also trained and qualified in CBT via the CPCAB route in 2013. This qualification has opened up many different areas to work in such as affiliate work for EAP's and more short term intervention work with private clients. I enjoy being able to offer both Direct and Non Direct approaches and knowledge what I have gained over the years of being in practice. I gained my PTLLS qualification in 2011 which helps me to organise and facilitate group workshops as well as trying to gain understanding of my clients and now Supervisee's learning styles which can help me offer a more tailored way of working.
I have worked with Adults, Children and Young People however predominately with adults now.
I do have a creative learning style and this can come out in my way of working by using the likes of; metaphors, miniatures and online sand trays. I feel I am now able to combine all my areas of expertise and to offer my awareness and guidance to future Supervisees. I am hopeful to support your growth in your own chosen style of working, keeping your client at the forefront of your practice by working safely and ethically.
I offer Supervision sessions either online via platforms such as Teams and Zoom or face to face appointments at a chosen location (to be discussed when requested).
I forgot to mention that I have a fun and warm personality which I do bring into my workplace and I feel this has helped me to gain most of my clients through word of mouth in my practice.
Please contact me for an informal talk about any possible Supervision with me. Thank you and I hope to hear and work with you soon, take care and bye for now, Sheila.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
