The stresses and strains of life can affect people in many different ways and for a number of different reasons. Often it is when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy or unfulfilled that we are likely to start searching for different ways or truer answers for ourselves.
Do you want to understand yourself, your feelings and your behaviours and be able to make the changes in your life that will make the difference for you?
As a Person-Centred Counsellor I can provide a safe, secure, non-judgemental environment in which we can work together to enable you to explore your problems, thoughts and feelings. This can then enable you to work towards achieving acceptance, understanding, balance and wholeness in your life.
I am a fully qualified, accredited therapist with extensive experience in my therapeutic field, both working within private practice, and also through my vast experience working as a Senior Occupational Health Counsellor and Wellbeing Manager within a local Police Force. I am very experienced in working with trauma and bereavement and also with a wide range of both personal and work related issues and concerns.
I am an accredited member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) which demonstrates that I have achieved the high level of experience required, I work within their ethical and confidentiality guidelines and am bound by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I work from the spacious and tranquil Jesmond Therapy Centre, close to the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, but with plentiful free parking.
In addition to my clinical work I am also a fully qualified Clinical Supervisor and offer this service, along with student discounts.
