About me

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

I offer individual and couples therapy. I am able to offer Face to Face as well as Online. I am qualified to offer NICE recommended Treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Low Self Esteem, Adult Trauma and Childhood Trauma. I work both in the NHS and in Private Practice.

I have a lovely peaceful consulting room overlooking the beautiful Exe Estuary. Conveniently there is a large car park opposite. I offer free Initial Consultations for both Individuals and Couples

I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Supervisor. I am also an Accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapist for Adults  Teenagers and Adolescents and a Clinical Supervisor, and Couple Therapist.

I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner.

I have over 22 years experience as a Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in the NHS. Currently I have a private practice and I work as Clinical Director and Specialist Psychological Therapist.
I work in a service I have developed with colleagues over the last 22 years which New Devon CCG commissions to provide Psychological Treatments recommended by NICE for Common Mental Health Problems.

I work with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are Adult and Childhood Trauma, (PTSD and Complex PTSD) Domestic Violence and Abuse, Low Self Esteem, Anxiety Disorders and Moderate to Severe Depression.

Therapy, I believe is a wonderful opportunity to explore and come to a new understanding about ourselves in a way that promotes and maintains change. In order for this process of change to take place it is vital clients are able and willing to engage and commit to the therapy. Therapy frequency is either weekly or fortnightly and sessions are a 50 minute hour. All therapy is strictly confidential.

My specialist areas of interest are Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and Adult / Childhood Trauma, Current and Ex Military suffering with PTSD, Low Self Esteem. I would be very happy to discuss your requirements with you. I offer a free Initial Consultation why not give me a call.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. I am available all day Monday and Friday, Tuesday Weds & Thursday afternoon after 3-pm. I do have evening appointments from 5pm to 6-30pm some evenings.
