About me

Are you seeking help to resolve anxiety, trauma or relationship issues?

I provide a safe, confidential and professional service for individuals seeking therapy (psychotherapy, counselling and hypnotherapy) one to one coaching and Supervision (for. both coaches and therapists).  For couples: I offer - counselling, coaching and relationship mediation.

My approach tends to be solution focussed and pragmatic.

I help you resolve  trauma or experiences in life, that hinder you or have caused you to develop unhealthy coping strategies.  In this way we  work at a 'deep level', to  help you to understand, analyse and resolve how you may be stopping yourself.  Thus enabling you to  achieve more of what you want in life/work or in relationships.

With over 30 years of experience I regularly update my professional training and specialise in approaches which encourage possibility and solution focused thinking. A registered psychotherapist with the major accrediting bodies: BACP, BSCH and UKCP as well as being a Clinical Supervisor and Master Coach Supervisor, Association for Coaching.  I can offer supervision for both coaches and therapists, indivduals and groups. This means I work to professional standards and enable you to achieve what you want utilising a range of hypno, psychotherapeutic, EMDR, CBH and NLP approaches to resolve issues which may be limiting your life.

For example - It may be that you are experiencing difficulties at work e.g. lack of self confidence, bullying, stress or anxiety, career dilemmas, or you are experiencing difficulties in your personal life which are affecting you and or others.
Or perhaps there are personal issues (e.g.trauma, relationship issues, domestic abuse, life changes, bereavement, unwanted habits or phobias) that you want to resolve and you need reliable, confidential, experienced help.

Training, qualifications & experience

Anne has over 25 years of experience in both business and private therapy. She is a qualified and accredited Psychotherapist and Therapy Supervisor,  (UKCP, BACP), NLP Master Practitioner,  Ericksonian and Clinical Hypnotherapist (BSCH).  Anne is also an accredited Coach and Coach Supervisor with the Association for Coaching (AC). Anne specialises in using Solution Focused Therapy, Symbolic Modelling, CBH (Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy) and EMDR - all interventions known to have considerable success in resolving limiting beliefs, unresolved issues and trauma.

A registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH), NLPtCA, and accredited/registered member of UKCP. Accredited with the Association for Coaching. Anne regularly updates her expertise through continued professional development and clinical supervision.

Anne is also a qualified law society relationship mediator through UK mediation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Additional information

I offer an initial 15 minute discussion by telephone to explore your needs and decide next steps. Thereafter the first session usually lasts 1 hour where we explore what you want to achieve and agree the progamme and fees  to suit your needs.

Fees range from £95 - £125 per session depending on length, frequency of appointments and approach agreed. Hypnotherapy and EMDR tend to cost more as they are more intense, yet highly effective for short term therapy needs.

I accept debit or credit cards, cash or BACS payments.

For an agreed number of sessions and series of dates I offer a discount when fees are paid in advance.

All sessions can be invoiced and charged to private health insurance as appropriate.

A cancellation fee is charged when less than 48 hours notice is given unless there are urgent or unforseeable circumstances.

Anne is a qualified and registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist - registered through BSCH, BACP and UKCP - this means she can accept GP and medical referrals and treats a range of medical conditions where Hypnotherapy, CBH and EMDR are known to be successful and proven techniques. She is also registered with some Private Medical Insurers should you want to take up this route for your treatment.

Anne is an Accredited Therapy Supervisor and accredited Coach, Coaching Supervisor.

She is also a qualified relationship mediator (UK Mediation) and offers workplace and family mediation services.

Anne has her practice in Summertown, Oxford. Currently all meetings are virtual.
