ALLIANCE COUNSELLING SERVICES ( ian hines diploma counselling/ post grad MSC)
07494 616 328
I am a registered BACP therapist (British association of counselling and psychotherapy) and therefore work within the ethical framework set out by them, ensuring that the service that I offer always puts the needs of the client first.
I hold a post grad qualification in integrative psychotherapy and have been a qualified counsellor for 9 years im an approved mental health first aid instructor working within the construction industry training mental health first aiders
Much of my work is guided by the 12 steps ( if agreed with the client ) that can be very effective within many emotional and behavioural situations , helping us to see problematic behaviour and and beliefs that may have been instilled in us as children .
As we sometimes don't know or understand what makes us feel and behave the way we do , through the 12 steps we can gain self awareness and self knowledge that can help us to keep what is important to us and let go of others beliefs that have been instilled in us yet simply don't fit who we are .
once we know ourselves we become better able to navigate our own lives being honest to what it is we want and how we choose to follow our own path
I offer a unique service that works with a range of various models and skills all tailored to help my clients get the most from therapy.
I am client lead, therefore I do not work with a ridged approach which means that if we do choose to work within the 12 step model, I can adapt to the needs of my clients and their situations whilst constantly providing an honest, safe, confidential and supportive relationship that promotes growth in my clients.
I work from home however I can accommodate clients that need home visits, I do prefer to work from home as I have a room that is geared towards providing a safe and warm environment that will help my clients explore themselves without fear of interruption.
