About me
COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY
As an experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I listen without judgement in a confidential, honest environment. I work with individuals and couples on Relationship Issues, Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Abuse and violence, Sex and Sexuality, Sexual Abuse, Identity Issues, Bereavement and Loss, Addictive Behaviour, Low Self-Esteem, Work Related Issues and Personal Growth. I am registered and accredited with the RNIB to provide sight loss counselling.
I also provide group mental health awareness courses.
I take an integrative approach, making use of a number of therapeutic models and techniques, including CBT and EMDR, suited to your individual needs. I began my career as a therapist over 15 years ago. To date I have gained substantial experience in providing successful therapies in different settings on a long and short-term basis; with a wide range of life problems and mental health issues in my private practice, the NHS and a number of established EAP and national organisations. I practice privately in London SW17 and Deptford SE8. Both locations are close to underground, over ground and bus routes. Both locations have disabled/wheelchair access and have metered car parking nearby.
If we arrange an initial consultation, you can discuss your concerns in confidence and decide if you feel comfortable in working with me. This also gives me the opportunity to find out more about you and assess your therapeutic needs. Having the professional, emotional support you need can help you to explore your difficulties from different perspectives, accessing more inner resources, providing you with new skills to manage and move forward.
COUNSELLING SUPERVISION
As a qualified and experienced clinical supervisor, I also provide counselling supervision to trainee and qualified therapists, individually and in groups.
As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) I am fully committed to working within their code of ethics. I am also committed to ongoing professional and personal Development

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
