About me
Over the last 20 years of providing a unique combination of counselling and coaching, I have found that everyone comes to therapy with entirely different backgrounds, expectations and needs.
Some people will feel apprehensive about starting this kind of inner exploration. It’s common to worry about being pressured to open up too quickly, that you’ll be judged, become overwhelmed or that you’ll be expected to already know your answers. I believe the basis for meaningful change is feeling truly safe. My aim is to provide the space for you to express what you can, when you can, and to know that it’s completely acceptable if some things feel unclear or difficult to articulate at first. You don’t need to perform, impress, or say what you think someone wants to hear. You just need to be you.
Others come to therapy with a sense of what they want, and, in that case, we work together to make that clear, explore what supports progress, what gets in the way, and how to create sustainable momentum towards that.
How I work is shaped by a deep curiosity about how we humans interact in our worlds. I am continually learning through books, courses and listening to the leading voices in psychology, neuroscience, biology and behavioural science, so that I can help clients gain clarity and insight into themselves, their patterns and the possibilities available to them.
Whether you’re taking your first tentative step or arriving with a clear intention - to get the most from our time together - you need to be open to exploring, or willing to explore why that feels difficult right now. If you’re able to show up with curiosity and stay engaged, even when things feel challenging, I’d love us to work together in helping you gain a fuller understanding of yourself and be able to make choices that genuinely support the life you want.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
