About me
I'm a fully trained psychodynamic psychotherapist. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship problems, low self-esteem, shame, trauma, suicidal thoughts and eating disorders.
I undertook additional training which includes working with addictions , eating disorders and trauma. I have also volunteered at The Maytree supporting people who have experienced suicidal feelings to find a way through their darkest thoughts and regain a sense of hope.
If any of these resonate with you, you can talk to me. Our conversations are confidential and there is no judgement. Some examples of when people look for therapy:
- You struggle with getting what you need from those around you; feeling like you aren’t getting what you need and unable to ask for it.
- Feeling of anxiety affects your day to day life.
- You have an overwhelming feeling of sadness, not wanting to do things you once did, and interacting with others feels uncomfortable.
- You have behaviours that you know are unhealthy but you do them in order to get through the day.
- There is a strong desire to control what you eat, but because you struggle to recognise your feelings, you use food in an unhealthy way.
- You feel like you don’t have friends, partners or colleagues that truly understand you which often leaves you feeling isolated and alone.
- Shame. You may struggle to tell people what is going on for you because you feel ashamed. Sometimes it is like everyone knows the worst things about you just by looking at you.
- Feeling like you don't want to be here anymore, there’s no point, or I'm done.
I offer short and long term therapy, depending on you. You may want to explore a little or a lot. It doesn’t always feel comfortable at first but that is part of the process, together we move through these challenges, allowing for change and healing.
I'm a psychodynamic therapist, which means we look at your past and how that is influencing your present life. Learning and understanding why we feel the way we feel may provide some relief or help change things.
I provide a safe and confidential space where we can explore your concerns or difficulties. Together we can think what might be lurking underneath, unexpressed. These can be feelings of disappointment, mistrust, exclusion, anger, grief, confusion, or a general unease, low self-esteem, or low mood. At times you may feel stuck or dissatisfied and not know exactly why.
How to begin
Please get in touch to book an initial session. We can explore together whether therapy will be useful for you and whether this is the right time for you. I am fluent in both English and Slovak.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at WPF Therapy which is one of the UK's leading training institutes for psychodynamic psychotherapy validated by Roehampton University.
I completed additional training including working with addiction, eating disorders, suicide and trauma.
I am a member of BPC and UKCP and also registered with FPC and adhere to their code of ethics and working practice.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
