About me

A steady hand and a compassionate space to help you understand your story, heal your patterns, and thrive.

Maybe you are reading this while facing the exhausting weight of chronic anxiety, depression, complex trauma, or deep-seated relationship difficulties. Perhaps you are trying to make sense of a social world that doesn't feel built for you, feeling entirely burned out while trying to manage executive dysfunction, adult ADHD, or Autism.

Whatever has brought you here, please know that your story is met with absolute respect. Welcome. I am Dr Zoe Knight. I firmly believe that the most transformative psychological growth happens when senior clinical expertise meets genuine human warmth.

As a founding Clinical Director of my own psychology practice, Attune Psychology & Coaching, my goal is to step completely away from stiff, clinical distance. I offer you a deeply authentic, collaborative, and warm environment where you can feel entirely safe to explore your inner world, make sense of your past, and safely reshape your future.

Whether you are looking for support on your own or trying to navigate difficulties within your relationship, I provide deeply relational, tailored therapy for individual adults and couples. I see clients both online and in person at my practice in North West London NW6.

My Therapeutic Framework: Schema Therapy as a Baseline

I do not believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all treatments. Instead, my practice uses Schema Therapy as an overarching baseline, seamlessly integrating other evidence-based modalities to support you as a whole person.

Schema Therapy looks beneath the surface to identify your "schemas" - the deeply ingrained emotional patterns, coping styles, and core beliefs formed in childhood that still dictate how you feel, behave, and relate to others today. Using this as our foundational roadmap, we integrate specialized tools depending on your unique needs:

Integrating DBT & MBT for Emotional Balance: If you experience overwhelming emotional storms, chronic anxiety, or OCD, I weave in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT). These tools provide immediate, practical support to help you make sense of intense distress, regulate your feelings, and improve how you connect with your inner world.

Integrating Trauma-Informed Processing: For those navigating complex trauma and C-PTSD, our foundational schema work is paired with paced, safe trauma processing. We work together to heal long-standing emotional wounds at their root, transforming old survival mechanisms into healthy, resilient coping modes.

Tailored Support for Adults & Couples. By anchoring my practice in Schema Therapy and blending these supportive modalities, I provide highly specialised care for both individuals

and couples:

For Adults: We look at how lifelong patterns are holding you back. Together, we work to break self-defeating behaviours, calm your nervous system, and move you toward a life of genuine ease and fulfillment.

For Couples: Relationships often get trapped in painful, repetitive loops. I provide a calm, balanced, and entirely neutral space to map out your specific triggers. By identifying your "schema clashes," we stop destructive relational cycles, replace friction with deep mutual empathy, and safely rebuild a secure, resilient connection.

The Neurodivergent Intersection: Growing up Autistic or with ADHD in a neurotypical world often creates powerful schemas of "defectiveness" or "isolation." I provide neuroaffirmative care through a schema lens, helping you process the trauma of masking and burnout, while using our integrated therapies to build structural adaptations that support your unique mind.

Training, qualifications & experience

When you choose to work with me, your care is grounded in deep clinical expertise across both premium private healthcare and the NHS, where I have held senior management and clinical leadership roles.

Senior Experience: I have been practicing as a Chartered Psychologist since 2012. My past institutional leadership includes managing busy, highly specialised therapy teams within the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and the East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Rigorous Academic Foundations: I hold a BSc from Goldsmiths College (University of London), an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Bangor University, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of East London.
