About me
Hello, and welcome.
I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist with 12 years' experience, who can offer you a warm, safe, confidential space in which you can bring whatever is troubling you.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Integrative Psychotherapy means I'm able to work with a broad range of theoretical approaches, drawing on these and integrating them according to clients' needs. It can be thought of as a 'made to measure' approach, which is personalised.
My training is also creative, and I particularly like to use art, or clay in sessions, when needed. It can be helpful when things feel overwhelming or confusing, or words are hard to find. It can help keep everything manageable, and give you the space needed to find a way through. Its an option you can take if you wish.
Please get in touch if you would like to know more. I offer an initial consultation, where you can ask any questions you have, and see if I seem a good fit for you, for which there is no charge.
Training, qualifications & experience
Alongside private practice, I have two further roles: I'm a counsellor at the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre, counselling those with MS and their families. I'm also a Butterfly volunteer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, providing palliative support for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy
BSc (Open) in Human Biology and Psychology.
Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists
During my Psychotherapy training, alongside my clinical placements, I had a placement with the Rapid Assessment Interface and Discharge team, RAID, at Watford and Stevenage Hospitals.
Prior to my Psychotherapy training, I cared for patients with neurological conditions, within the NHS in England, and at St Vincent's Hospital, Ottawa, Canada.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
