BABCP Reg CBT Therapist. MSc, BSc Mental Health & Psychology

About me

If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, alone or like you don't matter, you are not alone. My aim in therapy is to create a safe space where you matter. Our time together is practical, collaborative, and tailored to your goals. Together we'll understand what's keeping the problem going and develop strategies that help you make lasting changes.

My aim isn't for you to rely on therapy forever. It's to help you build the confidence and skills to become your own therapist over time.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself?
You may have people around you, but still feel alone in what you’re going through. Advice comes and goes, but the feelings remain.

You might be struggling with:

  • Anxiety, low mood, or constant overthinking
  • Afraid of being judged, rejected, or “found out”
  • Experiencing imposter syndrome or low self-confidence
  • Feeling pressure from family, culture, or expectations
  • Trying to make sense of your faith, identity, or sense of belonging
  • Finding it hard to leave the house or face others
  • Worrying about relationships, children, or the future
  • Feeling sad, lonely, empty, or hopeless

How I can help
I can support you to:

  • Reduce excessive worry and overthinking
  • Feel confident speaking to others, without replaying conversations
  • Manage panic attacks and regain a sense of control
  • Feel safe after trauma, move forward without feeling stuck in the past
  • Ease fears around health, illness, or dying
  • Cope with the emotional impact of long-term physical health conditions
  • Build confidence and trust in yourself
  • Work through intrusive thoughts or compulsive behaviours
  • Improve mood, motivation, and hope for the future
  • Overcome specific fears such as blood, needles, or vomiting
  • Manage stress, perfectionism, and sleep difficulties

I bring both lived understanding and professional expertise. You won’t need to over-explain cultural or faith-related experiences. I understand many of those layers. I have extensive experience working with people from various backgrounds. I also understand what it’s like to feel different, to not quite fit in, even with those closest to you. If this resonates, you’re not alone. And things can change. Whatever your background, therapy should feel like a place where you can speak openly and feel heard.

What to expect
We’ll start with an assessment and build a personalised plan tailored to you. I offer a safe, open space where you can feel heard, both in what you say and what may be harder to put into words. Our work is collaborative: you bring your lived experience, and I offer practical tools to help you.

A therapist who gets it
With nearly 20 years’ experience in mental health, including over a decade in the NHS and a strong academic background, I bring both depth and expertise. I have also presented my research on mental health and therapies at the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I co-founded Nurture & Bloom Talking Therapy to create a space where clients feel genuinely prioritised, not like a number, but like a person.

Clients often tell me they feel:

  1. Safe and at ease early on
  2. Able to open up without fear of judgement
  3. Truly understood

I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so you can get a sense of how it feels to talk with me, with no pressure or commitment. You can also view my instagram page to get a feel of who I am: www.instagram.com/nurtureandbloomtt/

Feel free to make contact over the phone or via email at: hello@nurtureandbloomtt.co.uk
