About me
I offer therapy for adults experiencing the lasting impact of emotional neglect, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, family issues, stress, burnout, and trauma.
Early relationships, attachment, and self-worth
Many of the people I work with grew up in relationships where their needs, feelings, or boundaries did not feel fully welcome. This can shape self-worth, attachment, and the ways someone learns to stay connected to others.
This may show up as people-pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, shame, guilt, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-worth, or feeling responsible for other people’s emotions.
Therapy can help you recognise these patterns with more clarity, understand what they once protected, and create more choice in how you respond now.
Anxiety, burnout, and being unable to switch off
I also work with adults who live with a constant inner pressure that is hard to name and even harder to put down. This may feel like anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional exhaustion, difficulty resting, or a nervous system that rarely feels regulated.
Therapy can help you slow things down, understand what may be driving this inner pressure, and find ways of living that feel less effortful.
Culture, identity, and neurodivergent experience
I also work with adults navigating expat life, immigration, cultural adjustment, and the emotional impact of living between cultures, languages, and identities. This may include loss of community, changes in work or family life, and questions of belonging.
My work is also sensitive to different ways of experiencing and processing the world, including ADHD and neurodivergent experience.
Women, mothers, and parenting support
I support women and mothers with postpartum adjustment, postnatal depression, parenting stress, exhaustion, and identity changes in motherhood.
Motherhood can bring love, responsibility, joy, depletion, and the feeling of being stretched in every direction at once. It can also stir up earlier wounds, particularly around dependence, separation, and what it means to be enough.
I offer parenting counselling from birth to the teenage years, helping you make sense of family dynamics, respond with greater awareness, and recognise the unspoken tensions that can shape family life.
How I work
My approach is relational, reflective, and carefully paced. I pay attention not only to what is said, but also to what is repeated, avoided, carried alone, or felt in the body but not yet fully understood.
My work is integrative and grounded in Gestalt therapy, drawing on attachment theory and a trauma-sensitive understanding of how early experiences and relationships shape the way we relate to ourselves and others.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Chartered Psychologist with two decades of post-qualification experience across private practice and NHS services.
I offer therapy in English and Turkish, in Clapham and Battersea, across SW London and Central London, as well as online. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on your needs and goals.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
