About me
Feel heard and supported - help with anxiety, identity, and finding your direction.
I am an experienced counsellor who has supported people in national and regional organisations, and facilitated identity and wellbeing workshops in schools. My background includes working as an LGBTQIA+ young people’s counsellor (ages 13–25), a school-based counsellor, and a bereavement counsellor for adults. I offer counselling for adults and young people on a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, identity and self-esteem, relationship difficulties, abuse, trauma, and life transitions.
As a neurodivergent and nonbinary counsellor, I bring a lived understanding of diverse identities and experiences. I recently led LGBTQIA+ outreach work in Craven, North Yorkshire - researching and reporting on the experiences and needs of LGBTQIA+ people to help improve inclusion and local support. I welcome clients from all backgrounds. My practice is warm, respectful. and led by what you need.

My practice is grounded in compassion, respect and safety. I hold an Enhanced DBS for working with vulnerable adults and young people.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer reduced fees in some circumstances - for example, if you receive Universal Credit or disability benefits, work as a nurse in the NHS, are on a state pension and no other, or if therapy costs are a barrier for you. Please feel free to ask.
I currently have availability for new clients and offer phone and online sessions. To help therapy feel more financially accessible at the start, I offer all new clients a discounted rate of £30 for each of your first six sessions (standard rate is £50).
I provide a free 30-minute phone assessment. There’s no obligation to continue afterwards - it’s simply a chance for you to share what you’re looking for, ask questions, and see if we’d be a good fit. If I’m not the right person to support you, I’ll help signpost you to services that may be able to help.

Further information
I work online and by phone, so I’m able to support clients across the UK with flexible daytime, evening and weekend appointments. I welcome adults and young people from all backgrounds, including those questioning their sexuality, gender, identity or sense of direction in life. I offer an affirming space to reflect, understand and find new ways forward.
My focus includes anxiety, relationships, LGBTQIA+ experiences, neurodivergence, bereavement and trauma — as well as the ongoing impact of past difficulties. The free 30-minute initial assessment is an opportunity to let me know anything I can do that could make sessions more comfortable for you, such as support for avoiding eye contact, processing time or managing tics.
I have availability right now for new clients and offer phone and online sessions. To help therapy feel more financially accessible at the start, I offer all new clients a discounted rate of £30 for each of your first six sessions (standard rate is £50).
