About me
I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapist. I am also a registered member of the BACP.
I believe we are all works in progress, and we’re never really "done". We can be in and out of therapy several times in our lives, for different reasons. Humans are incredibly complex and fascinating beings. Their resilience to life events, strength in adversity and ability to cope, change and grow, never ceases to amaze and impress me.
In my practice, I am grounded, authentic, calm and down to earth. I have experience of working with grief, anxiety, depression, life stages, self-esteem, masculinity, abusive relationships and trauma-related childhood issues, as well as drugs, gambling and alcohol dependency issues.
I provide a non-judgemental and confidential space, where you will always be warmly welcomed and safely held.
The first step is to notice that perhaps something in your life isn't as you would like it to be. The second is the desire to do something about it. There is no right or wrong reason to come to therapy. Being human is complicated, and life is often difficult and challenging.
It can take a lot of courage to come to therapy, and for many people, to continue to do so when exploring difficult subjects. It is my belief that you are the expert on you, and with support and the right conditions, people can change, and grow. I will do my best to offer you those conditions, then it’s for us to explore together, what it is that brings you to counselling, and what you hope to achieve.
My intention is to share my knowledge and empower you to find the tools to be able to look after, keep yourself safe and regulate yourself, wherever you are in your life. I also believe that it's the quality of the therapeutic relationship that does the healing. Indeed, it's been argued that this is almost as important as the modality of the therapist.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
I have also volunteered as a counsellor in an agency which specialises in complex issues regarding addiction and trauma from 2021 – 2024.
I have undertaken further CPD training around trauma and the living body, shame, domestic abuse and more recently Pesso Boyden Psychomotor Therapy (PBSP).
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
