About me
I offer sessions online via Zoom and in person.
We all face emotional challenges at some point in life, and sometimes it can be hard to cope. Therapy offers a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, find ways to manage, and begin to discover a way forward. Whether you’re seeking general support or want to focus on specific issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, or family concerns, this time is yours to explore whatever is happening for you.
You might feel the need to talk about anything from family or relationship issues to anxiety, anger, depression, loss, or anything else that feels important to you. With 15 years of experience as a therapist, I have worked in a range of settings—charities as a senior practitioner and service manager, the NHS, and in private practice. My roles have included counsellor, EMDR practitioner, supervisor, and lecturer.
With so many counsellors available, it’s natural to feel unsure about who is the best fit for you. That’s why I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to help you decide if therapy with me feels right.
My counselling approach is grounded in the person-centred model, meaning I adapt our sessions to meet your specific needs. I listen attentively and adjust the way we work together to support you. I trust in your natural capacity for healing and growth, providing a space where you can explore your thoughts, choices, and feelings at a pace that feels comfortable. Whether you're looking for short-term solutions or a deeper exploration, we'll move forward in a way that respects and honours what you need."
I also offer EMDR therapy for those who have experienced trauma. EMDR is a well-recognised and effective therapy that many find brings relief and healing from past experiences that continue to impact daily life. If you're finding that your reactions to everyday situations seem out of proportion, it may be worth exploring how EMDR can support your recovery.
I am committed to anti-oppressive practice, integrating a social justice perspective into a trauma-informed way of working. This approach provides an affirming, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences in your own time, while we remain mindful of the broader systemic and societal factors that contribute to individual and collective distress.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
