About me

I AM CURRENTLY OFFERING REMOTE COUNSELLING VIA ZOOM OR WHATSAPP VIDEO CALL, SO CAN ACCEPT CLIENTS FROM ANY PART OF THE COUNTRY AS WELL AS CLIENTS ABROAD.

Please see my You Tube video: How To Cope With Lockdown When You Live Alone:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEZojqxHafU

Now I am happy to work with all types of clients including children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. In addition I offer counselling in schools. Depending on the issues a client brings, I use a range of therapeutic approaches in my work, including CBT, counselling, assertiveness training and schema therapy.

My aim is to help people feel better and to live more satisfying, fulfilled lives. At the first appointment we will discuss the issues you want to be helped with, I will say how I think I can help you and how many sessions I think you will need. I usually have a short-term approach, with most clients needing six sessions or less, although this is very flexible.I treat people for depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, relationship difficulties, work-related problems, confidence issues, fear and phobias, anger problems, loss and bereavement, parenting problems and difficulties arising from being an abuse victim.

Having experienced the fallout from a narcissistic relationship myself I now also specialise in treating clients who have been groomed as adults or who have been in a narcissistic relationship. Hear my podcast on this subject at:

I write freelance articles for a number of magazines and newspapers, including Happiful,  Cosmopolitan, am a regular guest psychologist on Talk Radio (see links below),have appeared on ITV Daybreak and more recently on The Chrissy B Show on Sky TV. I also have a You Tube Channel, "The Wendy House". See one of my videos at:

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
