About me
My mode as a counsellor is integrative, which means I draw upon a number of different models of counselling, using what best fits you, the client, and your needs. Predominantly however, I use Person Centred Therapy (PCT) and aim to provide a warm, gentle, confidential and non-judgemental space in which we can explore together your inner thoughts and emotions.
At some point in our lives we are all likely to face difficult circumstances, painful memories, problems, and emotions that may seem overwhelming. Counselling allows you to discuss these difficulties in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental atmosphere. Generally people seek counselling when they want to explore and understand their feelings in more depth, and/or they want to change something in their lives. I believe counselling can help you come to terms with the past, gain new insight about yourself and your present situation, and make informed choices about your future.
As a Counsellor my role is not to provide you with answers, but to use all my skills, experience and knowledge to support and empower you in reaching your own understanding and finding your own direction.
An initial consultation will help us get to know each other a little and decide if we wish to go on this inner journey together.
