About me

For yourself and I to make initial contact, I can only respond to messages, not missed calls, due to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Individual Therapy and Couples Therapy.

I would like to reassure you that no matter what you bring to therapy, I will treat you with warmth and respect. I have a comfortable room in Manchester City Centre. ADHD, Relationships and Self Empowerment are only a few of my many specialisms. I am naturally confident in creating a relaxed, welcoming environment, where you can freely express your thoughts, your feelings and truly be heard.

My work using modems of Psychotherapy alines itself to my clients gaining deep self knowledge, empowerment and inner healing. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, and I don't think I know it all. I am here to listen to you and help you find the best way forward. I am qualified in a range of therapeutic approaches. I work in a way that is guided by my clients' experiences and needs.

I am Interested in helping you to find ways of handling your current concerns. I aim to bring into focus the tools, strategies and techniques you have that empower growth and move you forwards in life. I will assist in finding new perspectives that help to bring self-awareness, strength, self-belief and enable positive change.

I offer friendly, down-to-earth help, whether you are looking to address a specific issue, or have a need to connect and understand yourself, your relationships, family and/or social dynamics better.

As an Integrative Therapist, I incorporate different modalities such as:

  • Person-Centred Therapy: this approach is all about you the client.
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: this approach incorporates your historical background.
  • Transactional Analysis Therapy: this approach facilitates moving forward in life, being self-actualised.

I have been a therapist for many years now. I am 49 years of age and have spent 15 years of my adult life in academia, whilst working as a professional, to refine my skill set and expertise. I'm currently undertaking training in Personality Formation and Growth to further inform my practice.

I have a vast amount of diverse life experiences, including having lived and worked in over 50 countries of the world, whilst working in many diverse international business teams. I have been a Therapeutic Parent for children from ages 5 to 14 years, as well as an English Teacher.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
