Specialisim for Individual Therapy
I specialise in Anxiety and OCD, a subject close to my heart that i have spent many years researching to understand how it takes hold and becomes overwhelming causing distress in daily life.
Working together we will look deeper at what's driving your thoughts and what's keeping you in the anxiety cycle, learn different thinking patterns, find healthy coping skills and address any underlying issues which will make your anxiety/OCD more manageable. The goal of my therapeutic approach is to help you understand why you feel the way you feel, what your triggers are, and how you can change your reaction to them. CBT techniques used in therapy sessions teaches you practical techniques to help reframe negative thinking and help you change your thought patterns and behaviours, making it more manageable for you.
Relationship And Couples
Sometimes the relationships in our lives can become strained for a wide variety of reasons. If you are looking for a safe and impartial environment to work out the problems in your relationship, therapy is a great place to start. Therapy provides a neutral space where you can communicate your thoughts and feelings, work through disagreements, manage conflict and better understand each other. Having space and time for both people in the relationship to express themselves, feel heard and understood and in turn listen to the other person too can create positive changes to resolving and healing the difficulties that brought you to therapy. Together we can find new ways to improve communication in your relationship making way for mutual compassion.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
