About me
Approach:
I am trained as an Art Psychotherapist which includes an understanding of early developmental, and attachment issues and a psychodynamic approach. However, I like to work collaboratively with my clients, working in a way that best suits the needs of the individual or group. I like to offer creativity, arts or play in my therapeutic interaction. I am also trained in Mindfulness interventions and can bring this into my therapeutic work.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MA in Art Psychotherapy and qualified in 2007. I have also recently trained as a Mindfulness Teacher with Breathworks. I currently work for the NHS in Adult Mental health, and also in Education working with young people who have mental health and learning disabilities. I have experience of working with primary school and secondary school aged children and adults with Mental Health difficulties both individually and in groups.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
