About me

My counselling approach is empathic and non-judgemental. I understand that to be able to delve into your thoughts and feelings you need time and space and to feel like you can trust me to accept you for you and what is going on for you, therefore we will spend time building a trusting and secure relationship.

My approach is like this because I believe you are the expert in your life and your own struggles and as your therapist I can help you explore and make sense of difficulties you are facing, in a safe environment, working at a pace that suits you. What you explore during our time together is led by you.

When working with children, I can use other creative ways, to help young people to express themselves.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling.

Prior to obtaining the Diploma, I gained qualifications and many years experience of working with children and young people, families and adults. I have supported people facing a variety of difficulties including those affected by substance misuse, trauma, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, bereavement, bullying and isolation.
