About me

Good Mental Health is as essential for all of us as well looked after teeth and visiting the GP if a cough lasts a long time. Maybe you feel anxious or depressed. Maybe you've recently lost a loved one or feel that your relationship is not as good as it could be. It could be that you've experienced or are currently experiencing trauma or Domestic Abuse. There could be another reason you wish to see a therapist to talk through your individual therapeutic needs.

Whatever issues you are dealing with I feel that it is incredibly important to find a therapist that you like and feel you can work with. Sometimes it is worth trying different therapists to find the best fit for you; someone who makes you feel able to start to understand yourself better and work through your issues in a way that works for you.

It's the main reason I offer a free 30 minute consultation, I feel it allows us both to see if we can work well together.

I am calm, emphatic and friendly. I would be very happy to work with you through your journey at a pace that works for you.

I am currently able to provide face to face therapy for you in your own home. I am also offering telephone counselling.

I am an Integrated Therapist, primarily trained in Person Centred Therapy. this is talking therapy where the two of us work together with you choosing the direction your sessions flow in.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair ramp available on request. One small step into the building, my rooms are on the ground floor close to reception.
