About me
Are you feeling stuck in life or lost and do not know which way to turn? Maybe you are feeling hopeless or helpless and require some support? Do you isolate or surround yourself with others, and are feeling alone? Maybe you are on a healing journey or journey of self-discovery? Whatever it is that brings you to therapy at this time, it is likely that I can support you in some way.
I have worked with a wide range of issues from anxiety through to trauma (sexual, racial and legacy), addictions, depression, relationship issues, including family estrangement and weight management as well as raising self-esteem and confidence. The depth and breadth of my training mean that I am able to work with almost every condition and issue, which I am able to do in a solution focused way. I can work with you for a set number of sessions or open ended.
Training, qualifications & experience
My style is warm, empathic and deeply soulful. I help you connect to yourself at the deepest level by providing a space where all of you and your experiences can be seen and heard. I work intuitively ensuring that the right questions are asked, and empower you to connect with a deeper internal knowing, strength and resolve. I can support you in gaining insights into your issues, and learn to identify and release existing patterns, beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve you.
The likelihood is that if you feel drawn to working with me, I have either been through some similar issue or my experience means that I have the capacity to be able to empathise and support you fully.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
