About me

My name is Valérie Wendorff, I am a trilingual Psychotherapist, Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor. I can offer you the possibility to fully engage in the therapeutic process by expressing yourself in you native language French, Arabic or English. I am a registered member with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), BPS (British Psychological Society) and EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy).

I have been actively involved in the psychology field for the past 13 years. Alongside my private practice, I also used to work within the NHS, in different NGOs and schools.  I also held the position of Supervisor and Training Manager at a private organisation for Eating Disorders.

Throughout these 13 years I got the opportunity  to expand my professional experience as I deal on a daily basis with a wide variety of cases from all ages and different cultural backgrounds.

I am happy to have started a new venture almost a year ago now  as the co-founder of ChAT Services: Children and Adults Therapy Services where I collaborate with a group of independent highly trained therapists specializing in different modalities and approaches. If I cannot meet your requirements, take a look at their profiles and let me know if you feel one of them might be a good match or alternatively, give me a call and I would be happy to discuss that with you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I believe that every person is unique, therefore would have unique therapeutic needs. Thus, I use a multi-dimensional approach specifically tailored to the client's difficulty. My training in both Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy has given me the possibility to draw from different modalities in my practice: CBT, psychodynamic, psycho-organic analysis...

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a growing interest in the field of perinatal care and specifically infertility stress which was the focus of my PhD research.  I am actively involved in awareness around this area of work and therefore was privileged to speak at the 8th World Congress of Psychotherapy in Paris about working with couples facing infertility, in July 2017.

My fees range from £125 to £250  depending on the approach and length of the session.  For example a typical 50 minutes session for open ended therapy is usually 125£, however a family session that could last for 2 hours is 250£. Discounted rates can be offered. There are also other experienced therapists at the practice who have different rates that might suit your budget, feel free to contact me directly for further information.

Further information

Initially, we will arrange a free assessment call that can last up to half an hour. During this call we will discuss what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get out of your sessions, your schedule and any other questions you may have.
