About me
Thinking about counselling and seeking help can be a scary prospect, leaving you feeling vulnerable. As an integrative counsellor, I believe that each person has the ability to create change in themselves. You are the expert on you. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where I will listen to you and together, we can explore your experiences.
The most important aspect of counselling is the relationship. Finding the right counsellor where you feel safe and comfortable enough to explore thoughts and feelings that you may have kept hidden, even from yourself is integral for a positive experience.
I am an integrative counsellor with a client-centred approach, viewing all my clients as unique and individual. I utilise skills that I have learnt to facilitate your journey to making positive changes to your life, whether that is to look at how past patterns are affecting your present choices or working on how to change those patterns in the here and now. You are the expert and the guide and I work at your pace, where you are free to take the sessions where you want to go.
My practice is shaped by working affirmatively and holistically with individuals no matter their presentation and I don't assume that anything needs fixing, but exploring to find better outcomes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I studied counselling at West Herts College gaining a diploma in Integrative Counselling. During my training
I worked at a London-based charity, counselling trans and non-binary people and continue my involvement and support.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their code of ethics. I offer sessions online via Zoom or by phone or email.
I attend regular training to update my knowledge and expand my ability to support my clients in an affirming and transparent way.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
