About me

I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor working near Marlborough.

I provide counselling, coaching and mentoring that suits you and in a way that provides a very real environment to allow you to explore how you are feeling.

Our first meeting will involve taking a few details and explaining how the sessions can work for you and to clarify how many would be suitable or affordable.

I work in a humanistic approach and this means that we work at your pace and talk about the issues that are important to you and that you would like to share, with a view to them becoming more manageable and less intrusive on your daily life.

Sessions last for one hour. I also offer telephone counselling, if required.

I am currently, undertaking a Mentoring and Coaching qualification and if this is something that you would be interested in then Sessions would be at a reduced rate of £25.

Training, qualifications & experience

Psychology Degree BSc Hons - 2014
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - 2014
Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care Leadership & Management - 2015
Level 8 Mentoring and Coaching Diploma - current

I have worked in private practice for two years and have experience of working in GP Surgeries as a counsellor for the NHS and also in an agency for drugs and alcohol locally for the last four years.

I also work locally supporting people with disabilities and long term health concerns, helping them with their emotional self management and overall wellbeing.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
