About me

Hello, my name is Tracey and I am a fully accredited BACP registered Therapeutic Counsellor. I specialise in providing tailored support for children, young people, carers and families. I am here to guide you on your journey to well-being and lasting change.

As a person-centred counsellor, I also integrate various approaches to best meet the needs of each individual client. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you are encouraged to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My goal is to empower you to discover your own answers, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and build resilience to live a more fulfilling life.

In my work with children and young people, I understand the importance of adapting to their unique communication styles. I create a safe, welcoming environment where they can express themselves through age-appropriate activities like drawing, storytelling, and creative play. By using techniques tailored to their developmental stage, I help children navigate their emotions in a way that feels natural and effective for them.

As your counsellor, I will:

Offer a non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood

Keep everything you share confidential, with a few exceptions where there may be a risk of harm

Listen attentively and without judgment, no matter what is on your mind

Never tell you what to do

Offer helpful information if you're interested

Always respect your feelings, thoughts, and ideas

Whether your concerns feel big or small, I’m here to listen and support you in finding your own way forward.

If you’re looking for a counsellor who will listen without judgment and help you find your inner strength, I’m here to support you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice, offering a variety of therapy options designed to suit individual needs. Whether you're seeking 1:1 Talking Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, or innovative techniques such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), I provide a compassionate, professional, and holistic approach to healing. I also offer creative therapies like Drawing and Talking Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy - methods that are especially beneficial for children and young people, allowing them to express themselves in unique and impactful ways.

I have an extensive background in education and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), understanding the challenges that both children and their caregivers face. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can thrive, build confidence, and overcome obstacles. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, emotional difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to guide you on your journey to well-being and lasting change.

I am a qualified Adult Mental Health First Aider and am also trained in suicide prevention so you can be assured that you are in safe hands - your well-being is at the heart of what I do.

I also have valuable experience working with Action for Family Carers, where I provide free, confidential counselling to adult carers in West Essex (Epping, Harlow, and Uttlesford Districts) and Northeast Essex (Colchester & Tendring Districts).

No issue is too small or too silly and will be treated in complete confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
