About me
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile.
Taking the first step towards seeking support can feel overwhelming; I aim to create a safe space where people feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. Together, we explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours interact, and work on finding realistic, achievable ways to break unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.
A Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with a strong passion to support individuals to understand and manage their mental health and overall wellbeing. Qualified and experienced in delivering evidence-based CBT interventions for a wide range of common mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders, panic disorders, low mood, depression, stress, and low self-esteem.
In addition to the above-mentioned area of practice, I also deliver psychoeducation sessions to individuals who are keen to increase their awareness around their mental wellbeing to manage mental health challenges better, helping to restore the power to individuals.
I have experience of working in highly pressured clinical environments, managing client caseloads effectively, and adhering to clinical governance standards. I am proficient in risk assessment, outcome monitoring, and delivering therapy through telephone and video platforms.
Key strengths include strong communication skills, the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. I am passionate about empowering individuals to make meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives through the application of CBT principles.
As a CBT therapist, I developed my role to become a Clinical Supervisor. Please select Supervision section for more details.
How I work:
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside an integrative approach, drawing on different therapeutic ideas and techniques depending on your individual needs.
Through effective collaboration, I work with individuals to identify unhelpful thinking styles, behavioural patterns and triggers, while working towards developing new perspectives, coping strategies and practical ways of moving forward while building resilience and confidence. Using a person-centred approach, therapy sessions are tailored to individuals' needs and at a pace that suits them, treatment plans are developed collaboratively and are the centred cog of the individuals’ journey. My approach makes individuals feel accepted and valued, the setting allows for honest and transparent dialogue to explore and discover, while offering unconditional positive regard.
What I value most about my work is seeing people realise their own strengths and capabilities. Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all”, sessions are tailored to each individual. CBT is not about “fixing” people, it’s about giving them the tools and understanding to become their own therapist to manage their mental wellbeing, which in turn restores feelings of worth, hope, confidence, power and choice.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
