About me
Have you ever found yourself wondering why life suddenly feels so much harder to navigate than it once did?
Life brings change, challenges, and unexpected experiences that can shape how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. At times, it can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face those moments alone. Reaching out for support isn't a sign of weakness, it's a courageous step towards understanding yourself and creating meaningful change.
I work in an integrative way, providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Together, we'll gently untangle what's been holding you back, helping you make sense of your experiences and navigate life's changes in ways that feel healthier, more manageable, and authentic to you.
As we develop a deeper understanding of how your emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and past experiences interact, you can begin to build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and create lasting growth and transformation.
My approach is predominantly person-centred, meaning our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of our work. Alongside this, I draw from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches to create a personalised experience that reflects your unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
Training, qualifications & experience
I currently work within a specialist rape and sexual trauma centre, supporting adults who have experienced sexual violence, abuse, and relationship trauma. My practice is trauma-informed, recognising the lasting impact trauma can have on the mind, body, and relationships while ensuring therapy is grounded in safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and choice.
I also have training and experience supporting adults affected by domestic abuse, unhealthy relationships, and coercive and controlling behaviours, working with both women and men. Before retraining as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I worked as a primary school teacher and Spiritual Lead. This experience gave me a deep understanding of child development, attachment, and the ways early life experiences can continue to influence emotional wellbeing and relationships into adulthood.
