About me

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck? Struggling with low mood, low self-esteem, relationships difficulties, loss and bereavement? I offer a space where you can breathe, talk freely and be heard. You won't be judged here, just supported and understood. You don't have to face it alone, together we can begin to work to turn things around one step at a time, so you can feel calmer and more in control.

I am an integrative counsellor and also a person-centred experiential counsellor for depression (PCE-CfD), which enables me to work with adults facing a wide range of challenges including; anxiety, depression, anger, stress, and life transitions. My approach is tailored to your unique needs. I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques to help and support you navigate difficult times, develop practical coping strategies, and regain a sense of calm.

What I Offer

One-to-one counselling in person at private consulting rooms in Bushey (WD23) and in Watford (WD24), online via Zoom, or by telephone.

Each session lasts 50 minutes.

A non-judgmental, confidential environment where you set the pace and focus, knowing you are the expert of your own life.

How Counselling Can Help

Clients often share that after working with me, they feel:

  • Feel less stressed and anxious
  • Improved their work and life balance
  • More self-aware and able to communicate their needs
  • Better equipped to manage emotions
  • Supported in making positive changes

My Experience

I have worked in a variety of educational and private settings in a clinical capacity, helping people manage their personal issues more effectively. I bring a deep understanding of the challenges people face in everyday life and this has led me to supporting my clients in an emotional capacity to have a better relationship with themselves and with others.

In addition to this, I have lived experience of being a parent and understand the challenges this can present. I also have the personal experience of living with family members with depression, life limiting and debilitating illness such as Cancer and Parkinson's disease, along with the pain of bereavement, loss, grief, and major life changes. This enables me to help and support clients who may be going through similar situations in their lives and an understanding of the feelings, fears and concerns this can present.

My Commitment to You

I work ethically within the BACP framework, hold an enhanced DBS, and am fully insured. Your well-being and confidentiality are at the heart of my practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
