About me
Tom is an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). With over 12 years of experience working across a variety of settings, he has supported individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Tom places each client’s unique needs at the heart of therapy, providing a compassionate, client-centred, and integrative approach. Alongside evidence-based CBT interventions, he draws upon other therapeutic models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), tailoring treatment to each individual.
Tom has great respect for anyone taking the first step towards therapy and understands that seeking support can feel challenging. Tom offers a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel comfortable, understood, and supported as they work towards meaningful and lasting change.
Tom has extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He recognises the importance of adapting therapy to suit different needs and can make appropriate adjustments to ensure sessions are accessible, effective, and personalised.
Passionate about a trauma-informed approach, Tom works collaboratively with clients to understand and address the root causes of their difficulties, while also helping them manage present-day challenges. Tom is more interested in “what has happened to you” than to ask “what is wrong with
