About me

Theodora is an experienced psychotherapist  working with adults, children and adolescents. She has practised psychotherapy for over 25 years and provides  therapy in a confidential, collaborative and non-judgmental setting.

She holds an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy and an MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy.  She is UKCP- registered  Child Psychotherapist..

Theodora's integrative framework combines different approaches such as psychodynamic, existential, attachment based therapy and humanistic models. She works in trauma informed way and the method she uses, varies according  to the individual and the presenting issues.

Apart from talking therapy, she uses various creative media  particularly with her work with children such as art, play, sand tray therapy, puppetry, and storytelling.  These methods can help children safely explore and express their thoughts and emotions  when they are difficult to put into words.

Mindfulness is also incorporated within the therapeutic work with all clients when it may be helpful.

While therapeutic methods may be used, the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the work. Clients are not expected to engage in any particular method if they don'f feel comfortable.

She has  extensive experience working with people  of all ages with various issues affecting their well-being: Trauma,  Anxiety, Phobias, Identity and Gender issues, Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour, Relationship difficulties, Loss and Bereavement, Depression, ADHD, Low self-esteem, health related concerns, self-harm, life transitions, loss of meaning and purpose in life.

She has a wide  experience working with neurodivergent clients and with children who present challenging behaviour. She provides also support to families and parents.

She offers both short and long term therapy, in person and online. She sees clients for either weekly or twice weekly sessions.
