About me
Hi I'm Tanya, a neuro affirming therapist, working from personal experience as an AuDHD female. Sessions with me will include talk therapy, looking at areas where you are currently having difficulties and we can also look at neuro friendly techniques you can use that suit your lifestyle and enable you to work with your neurodivergence. Diagnosed, un diagnosed or curious all are welcome here. I am unable to diagnose, we are however able to explore your experiences and see what it is about neurodivergence that resonates with you.
I offer on going sessions that can be structured if that is what you need or just a space to talk. I also offer one off sessions if you suspect you are neurodivergent, awaiting assessment or are struggling to fill out the assessment criteria I also offer extended sessions if necessary. All on line through zoom or teams or over the phone.
FEEDBACK -
'I found Tanya at a time in my life when I was beginning to come to terms with being neurodivergent – ADHD and possibly AuDHD. From our first session, I felt an immediate connection and a sense that I could trust her with some of the more difficult parts of my story.
After years of hiding parts of myself from both myself and others, I finally feel able to begin exploring those more difficult aspects of who I am, including shame. Although this can feel frightening at times, and I notice a strong urge to avoid those feelings, Tanya offers a space that feels safe, kind and understanding. Her warmth, compassion and nurturing presence make it feel possible to talk about things I never thought I could share.
Thank you, Tanya, for offering me that space.'
"The sessions have been extremely helpful - I now feel I have developed some of the tools needed to achieve the peace and relaxation I was working on" HP

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
