Taner Hassan - MBACP (Registered) TP Counselling Service

About me

I’m a qualified Therapist (MBACP Registered)
With an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
(Transactional Analysis, CBT, DBT, Person centred, psychodynamic)

I also hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management in Health & Social care.

Though as a trained therapist I'm able to assist in many presenting issues, Addiction has been my specialist area of expertise for over 14 years. I have worked within NHS, Community Drug & Alcohol services, Addiction & mental Health rehabs, as well as working at management and senior management level within the sector for over 7 years.

I have been part of a team who achieved a GOOD rating by the CQC in my last role as the Registered Manager at an Addiction Rehabilitation Clinic in 2019 for UKAT (UK Addiction Treatment Centres)

Currently I'm part of the Senior Management team in a community based service.

Many issues that arise within these settings are: substance misuse, depression, compulsive disorders, trauma, grief, abuse and family and relationship difficulties.

My experience ranges from working with vulnerable adults, dual diagnosis, homelessness, teenagers/ young adults, families and couples.

It is important that whoever you seek help from you give yourself the chance to work through your issues and become your own scientist. I will never tell you what to do but help guide you and explore your issues together to help you achieve your goals. My style varies as an integrative therapist as I am able to use many different therapeutic approaches depending on the presenting issue.

I offer a FREE 20 min phone consultation.

If you decide to go ahead with therapy each session will cost £60 per session lasting 50 minutes.

You can have therapy more than once a week and you can also book 6-12 sessions in advance if you wish.

I do offer an alternative fee for those on benefits or find themselves in financial difficulty as i believe everyone deserves access to talking therapy.

I will ask you to complete a therapeutic agreement and personal details form. This highlights the confidentiality aspect of therapy, provides me with details of your presenting issues as well as sets out the format for therapy and what to expect.

This of course is confidential and never shared with anyone.

I do hope to hear from you soon and help you on your journey.

Thank you for viewing my profile.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
