About me
You don't need to have it all figured out....
...but you DO need to be ready to dive in.
I'm Tammy, and I haven't got it figured out either (does anybody?!) I'm a counsellor who is deeply familiar with feeling too much and not enough; and I believe in the power of showing up fully as we are - flawed, vulnerable, and human. Through my own journey of embracing the messy parts of myself, I’ve discovered that real growth happens when we stop trying to 'fix' ourselves and instead lean into what’s uncomfortable. I’m here to support you as you explore the parts of yourself you might have been avoiding. This work isn’t about reaching perfection; it’s about accepting your truth, owning your story, and building deeper, more meaningful relationships with yourself and others.
Here's the thing...
If you're looking for a quick fix, surface-level therapy and to be fed only tools and coping mechanisms, then I'm not the right counsellor for you. I'm not the kind of counsellor who's going to sit there with a notebook or clipboard, nodding seriously, with arms crossed asking "hmm, and how does that make you feel?" but I do aim to be real, curious....and a little unpolished. So, if you value self-awareness and growth, understand that this process can be uncomfortable but are committed to showing up anyway; then I'd love to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
