About me

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Most people don’t.
And honestly — neither do I.

I’m Tammy. I’m a counsellor, and I’m deeply familiar with what it’s like to feel too much and not enough at the same time.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned how to cope really well…
but not always how to stay with ourselves.

My work is about gently undoing that.

Not fixing you.
Not polishing you.
Not teaching you how to be “better.”

But creating a space where you can tell the truth about where you are.
Feel what you feel without rushing to make it neat or acceptable.
And begin choosing yourself — not because it’s easy or comfortable, but because it’s honest.

I believe real growth happens when we stop trying to outrun our discomfort and start listening to it. When we become curious about the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to edit, avoid, or silence. When we build a relationship with ourselves that’s compassionate, grounded, and real.

Here’s the important bit:

If you’re looking for a quick fix, surface-level therapy, or a list of coping tools without depth — I’m probably not the right counsellor for you.

I’m not the clipboard-and-checklist type.
I won’t sit across from you pretending to have all the answers.

What I will bring is presence, honesty, curiosity — and a willingness to sit with you in the uncomfortable places without trying to rush you through them.

So, if you’re someone who wants to understand yourself more deeply, who knows this work might feel unfamiliar or messy at times, but is willing to show up anyway — I’d really love to hear from you.

You don’t need to arrive with clarity.
You just need to arrive as you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
