About me
Trauma Therapy – Helping You Feel Safe, Regulated and Reconnected.
Perhaps you've found yourself constantly on edge, overwhelmed by emotions, or feeling emotionally numb. You may struggle to trust others, find yourself reacting in ways you don't understand, or feel disconnected from the person you once were.
These experiences are often the lasting effects of trauma.
Trauma can affect far more than our thoughts. It can shape the way our nervous system responds to the world, leaving us feeling anxious, hypervigilant, emotionally shut down, exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. Whether your experiences relate to childhood trauma, sexual abuse, difficult relationships, loss, or other overwhelming life events, healing is possible.
I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to understand your experiences and gently reconnect with yourself.
My approach combines pluralistic talking therapy with somatic (body-based) trauma therapy, recognising that trauma is often held within both the mind and the body. Together we work to understand your experiences, develop emotional awareness, regulate your nervous system and build a greater sense of safety, resilience and self-compassion.
Every person's journey is different, which is why I work collaboratively with you, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals and pace. You will never be pushed to talk about anything before you feel ready. Building trust and creating emotional safety is at the heart of our work together.
I commonly support clients experiencing:
- Childhood trauma
- Sexual abuse and sexual trauma
- PTSD and complex trauma
- Anxiety and panic
- Emotional overwhelm
- Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected
- Anger and emotional regulation difficulties
- Low self-esteem and self-worth
- Relationship difficulties and attachment issues
- Stress and burnout
- Grief and loss
Sessions are 50-90 minutes, allowing time for deeper therapeutic work without feeling rushed and providing space to integrate both talking and somatic approaches.
I offer therapy in person in Fife and online throughout the UK.
If you're considering therapy but are unsure where to begin, I invite you to arrange a free initial consultation. It's an opportunity to ask questions, discuss what has brought you here, and decide whether we're the right fit to work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
