About me
Sometimes life feels heavy, confusing, or just too much. You might be coping on the surface but struggling underneath with anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, loss, or a sense that something’s missing. Therapy offers a space to pause and explore what’s really going on, without pressure or judgement.
I’m an integrative counsellor working with adults 18+ online and in person in Tewkesbury. My approach blends person centred, psychodynamic, and relational ideas, adapting to what feels most helpful for you. Together we can explore patterns and experiences that shape your world today and help you reconnect with calm, confidence, and direction.
Some people come to therapy wanting to better understand themselves, how they think, feel, or experience the world. This can be a time to explore patterns, strengths, and challenges without labels or expectations. Whatever you’re discovering about yourself, you’re welcome here, and we can explore it with curiosity, care, and always at your pace.
My own experience of being supported in therapy taught me the power of being held in a safe, understanding space. That belief continues to guide my work and reminds me that healing often begins in the simple act of being truly heard.
Our sessions are a space where all of you is welcome, your thoughts, feelings, questions, fears, and hopes. My work is trauma informed, so we move at your pace, with care for your sense of safety and respect for what your experiences have asked of you. I aim to create an atmosphere that feels steady and supportive, where you won’t be met with quick fixes or judgement, but with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story.
If you’d like to know more, you’re always welcome to reach out. You don’t have to be certain right now, and I’m happy to answer any questions or simply talk through what therapy could feel like for you.
Taking that first step is always going to feel hard, but it is the only step you need to take alone.
Best wishes
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor holding a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling. As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to high professional and ethical standards. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, low self-worth, and parent carers, though I also have experience working with a wide range of other issues.
Before I became a counsellor, I worked in supportive roles within the NHS. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the many challenges people face and the importance of meeting each person with genuine care, respect, and kindness.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
