Tamar Challis - BSc (Hons) Psychology, Dip Therapeutic Couns, MBACP
Hello, my name is Tamar Challis (this is pronounced tay-maar, for those who get anxious about unusual names). I am a qualified and BACP registered Person-Centred Counsellor.
I offer you a safe space to explore any concerns or issues you may be experiencing to find your way forward.
I am passionate and professional about the counselling I provide and adhere to BACP ethical guidelines within my practice.
The areas I specialise in include, but are not limited to; anxiety, depression, dissociative identity disorder, low self-esteem, trauma, pregnancy and infant loss and bereavement, self-development and relationships. I also have an interest on working with people who are going through transitions in life (divorce, menopause, new parents and people reaching retirement and beyond).
To help put your mind at ease: I hold an enhanced DBS certificate (previously known as CRB), I have the relevant professional indemnity and public liability insurance and I am ICO registered, which means I am registered with the UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest.
