About me
Are you struggling with alcohol or substance use, behavioural addictions, pornography use, or compulsive sexual behaviours that feel increasingly hard to control?
Welcome. I’m Talid Khan, one of the few clinicians in the UK who is an accredited Addiction Therapist, qualified Sex Addiction Therapist, and HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist (statutorily regulated).
Formerly a Senior Psychotherapist at the Priory Hospital Roehampton, with further clinical experience within the NHS, I provide discreet, specialist psychotherapy in the Harley Street Medical Quarter and St Paul’s in the City of London, as well as secure online sessions across the UK and internationally. I also specialise in addiction alongside co-occurring autism or ADHD.
My approach integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy to explore underlying patterns, relapse-prevention strategies to support practical change, and, where helpful, art-based methods to foster expression and insight — all tailored to support meaningful and sustainable recovery.
For a comprehensive overview of my specialist areas in addiction and a deeper understanding of my therapeutic approach, please visit www.addictiontherapistlondon.com.
If you feel my approach may be right for you, you’re invited to get in touch to arrange a confidential, complimentary introductory video consultation to explore your needs and answer any initial questions before proceeding with an appointment.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
