About me

Hello, my name is Sylvia

I'm an older woman with a wide experience of life and travel.

I am a survivor of child and adult trauma.

I am a mother to one son and I have 3 grandsons.

I work with children, young people and adults. I can work online and in person

I offer walk and talk therapy

The initial session will be exploring what you would wish to work on and what you hope to achieve in our time together.  It might be that you don't know  why you feel troubled  but by exploring your story without judgement and carefully; at your pace, unravelling the layers  your difficulties start to unfold.
To help this process I use various creative tools, to support your journey to wellness in a confidential safe space.  You have a choice to work creatively using art materials, objects and stories or talking therapy.

My background  had been a senior social worker in a complex adults team for many years.

I am a registered therapist and certified creative practitioner. I am registered with The Health and Social Care Professional Council.

Certified advanced practitioner Psyche and Soma, including training to work online.

Registered and member of the professional creative counselling organisation and training hub.

I trained at the Royal Central School of speech and Drama and graduated as a drama and movement therapist.

I have clinical supervision and regular therapy. I continue to update my training regularly.

Creative working has proven to get to the heart of an issue that then can be processed quicker offering a clear insight into self-awareness and enabling clarity rather than feeling stuck or lost.
