About me

I welcome you in person or online to a safe space where you can speak openly, free from judgement about whatever may be causing you worry or concern.

By listening with care and empathy I will help you access your own inner process to bring about a deeper understanding of yourself.

We all experience difficult times in our lives, for some it can be an event, a crisis. For others life can feel pointless, lack meaning or purpose.

I will help you identify reoccurring patterns which may be causing you to feel anxious or unfulfilled. With more understanding and awareness change  occurs..  By accessing your inner resolve  you can  meet challenges with more confidence and clarity.

For more than 25 years I have been involved in Health, Well Being and Personal Development.  My own journey as  a student of Hua Gong began almost 30 years ago which led to  my own experience of wholeness. An extraordinary feeling, of being in one piece.

Awareness can be cultivated through listening enabling you to live more authentically and be more of who you truly are.

A journey to authenticity.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training began in 1992, I studied various forms of massage including Swedish massage and Tuina. I became increasingly interested in personal development and the mind body connection. This led me to attend many workshops with the late David Grove and Dr.Ernest Rossi.

Later I gained a Certificate in Existential and Person Centred Counselling at East Berkshire College and continued my training with Nicola Richter at the Academy of Spiritual Attitudes and Awareness where I gained a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

In 2005 I set up a private practice as a Solution Focused Therapist in Canary Wharf. I also delivered long term therapy at the Kingston Womens Centre, where are worked with women of all ages presenting various problems including anxiety, loneliness, depression, relationship problems that may be with people  and  or food.  I supported the local community by offering counselling to parishioners.

Since 2000 I have been a student of the Dao Hua Gong School of Qigong  with Master Zhixing Wang  where I continue to study various forms of meditation for health, well being and spiritual development. My own practise also includes self inquiry. I have travelled many times in China and to many Daoist and Buddhist sacred sites. This experience deepened my understanding of the Qigong practice and ancient culture.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
